In March, Sospeso presents the American premieres of new music films by four composer-filmmaker teams: New York director Hal Hartley with Dutch composer Louis Andriessen; British director Nicolas Roeg with Adrian Utley of Portishead; the American animation team the Brothers Quay with Karlheinz Stockhausen; and legendary German director Werner Herzog with John Tavener.

Herzog and Taverner's Pilgrimage imagines a search for redemption and was filmed at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. Sound casts the mysterious tones of Adrian Utley against the complex cinematic vision of Nicolas Roeg, featuring supermodel Claudia Schiffer. The New Math(s), by Hal Hartley and Louis Andriessen, is both wry and affecting. And In Absentia, the first new film by the Brothers Quay in six years, combines live action and animation with a new score by Karlheinz Stockhausen.

Join Sospeso for what promises to be a stunning evening of multimedia art.
